We are pleased to announce that Mariemont Players Inc. has been inducted into the Ohio Community Theatre Association's Hall of Fame.This honor is awarded for outstanding contributions to the promotion of theater arts in Ohio.The presentation was made at the annual OCTA Conference on September 4, 2011.
Mariemont Players was founded in 1936 and over these past 75 years members of Mariemont Players have gone on to become movie actors, Broadway musical directors and have played roles in professional theater, TV, internet commercials, corporate videos, voice-overs and dozens of supporting roles in media and the creative arts.
Mariemont Players has always been dedicated to the advancement of live theater in our community. Countless children have had their first theater experience at Mariemont Players; many on the stage and many more in the audience. Members have learned the basics of acting, directing, costuming, props, theater management and many other skills that go into producing successful theatrical presentations.
We are very proud to be part of the Ohio Community Theatre Association's Hall of Fame.
