SynopsisClybourne Park explodes in two outrageous acts set fifty years apart. Act One takes place in 1959, as white community leaders anxiously try to stop the sale of a home to a black family. Act Two is set in the same house in the present day, as the now predominantly African-American neighborhood battles to hold its ground in the face of gentrification. Are the issues festering beneath the floorboards actually the same, fifty years on? This excruciatingly funny and squirm-inducing satire explores the fault line between race and property. Inspired by Lorraine Hansberry’s play, A Raisin in the Sun.

Note: We previously announced that Elizabeth Leigh Taylor would be directing Clybourne Park, and due to familial and work obligations, she has decided to step down as director but gladly and confidently passes the reins to Dan Maloney, and looks forward to serving this show as producer.
