A Message to Our Patrons - July 2020 UPDATE

Dear MPI Patrons,

As we continue to navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic, we are taking all official public health recommendations and requirements into consideration. Based on the current status and projections for the coming months, the MPI Board of Directors has decided to postpone our September production of The Outsider and our November production of The Last Night of Ballyhoo. Although it saddens us to delay the opening of these two shows, both productions will be moved to our 2021-2022 season, and we are so excited to bring these shows to life the way they deserve to be!

As a result, our next scheduled show is Earth and Sky, which is currently slated for performance in January 2021. We are committed to this wonderful production, and if we can't perform the show in January, we will reschedule it to a later date in 2021.

It has been so difficult to continue putting live theater on hold the last 5 months, but we remain committed to keeping everyone who enters our theater safe and well so that, when it is safe to return, we can do so stronger than ever.

Regarding season ticket subscriptions:

Because of the uncertainty surrounding when we can resume production, the Board of Directors has decided not to sell season ticket subscriptions for the 2020-2021 season. Instead, we will sell tickets on a show-by-show basis, giving priority/pre-sale opportunities to last season’s subscribers. Depending on when we are able to produce shows again, we may also sell a reduced subscription package, which will be based on the number of shows our 2020-2021 season produces.

Finally, as a reminder, we also previously canceled our July production of Somewhere in Between. We are offering a full refund for anyone who has purchased tickets for Somewhere in Between. But before you request a refund, we would like to kindly ask you to consider donating all or part of your ticket costs to the Mariemont Players. During these uncertain times, arts organizations are under a severe financial strain due to the inability to produce shows, and Mariemont is no exception.

That being said, we will of course honor any refund requests that we receive. Please contact the box office at 513.684.1236, or email us at waltoncreektheater@gmail.com to request a refund.

We will continue to monitor the situation, and we fully intend to be back on stage as soon as our public health officials declare it is safe to do so. Keep an eye on mariemontplayers.com, as well as our Facebook page, for updates.

Thank you for your continued and valued support of Mariemont Players. We look forward to seeing you at the theater as soon as possible.

Regards,

Patrick Kramer

President, MPI Board of Directors
