We had a great turnout for the December 9th MPI Holiday Party. Over 40 members braved the cold - and light snow - to join us for an evening of food, drink, door prizes and conversation. Thank you to Chris Cullen, Steve and Linda Winslow for their help with setup and final preparations. Also thanks to Tom Peters for his help cleaning up at the end of the night. Happy Holidays to all!

December Play Reading Party Dec.12th – Anna Nixon
We really enjoyed an exchange of holiday plans and travels while we drank and ate delicious appetizers. Then on to our Christmas play this year – “Coney Island Christmas” by Donald Margulies. This has just been staged by Center Stage with our very own Chessie Vigran acting in it. It is a hilarious family play for all ages, colors and creeds. Basically it surrounds a Nativity Play but actually includes Santa Claus and Scrooge towards the end. We had a ball!
Our readers were: Chessie Vigran, Joyce and Art Kibby, Fred Rothzeid, Karen Zaugg, Maris Ryan, John Nixon and yours truly.
We had a feast and a party not to be forgotten. Thank you everyone so much for contributing your time, talents and goodies.
Happy holidays to all our Mariemont members!
Our next reading will be on Tuesday, January 16th 2018 at 7:30 pm.
Mariemont Players and director Dan Maloney announce auditions for The Outgoing Tide - Bruce Graham

• Location: 4101 Walton Creek Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45227
• Performance Dates: May 11-27
In a summer cottage on Chesapeake Bay, Gunner has hatched an unorthodox plan to secure his
family's future but meets with resistance from his wife and son. As winter approaches, the three
must quickly find common ground and come to an understanding - before the tide goes out.
Gunner - Early 70’s. Retired from the trucking business and now lives with his wife Peg on the
Chesapeake Bay. Still vibrant. Wears the world’s oldest, most comfortable fishing clothes.
Though it’s never named in the script, he is in the early stages of Alzheimer’s.
Peg - Late 60’s. Energetic. Strong. She is the rock. She takes care of her family. It’s what she does. It’s who she is.
Jack - 49. Gunner and Peg’s son. Pleasant, but distant. Seems out of place. Going through a divorce.
Please note, ages listed are stage ages. Actors auditioning can be older/younger in real life, but they have to believably be able to play the ages listed in the script.
Rehearsals will begin around the middle of March and will be determined by the availability of the cast. Please bring known conflicts from March 12th to May 27th. Please note, there is a 2 PM performance on Mother’s Day – Sunday, May 13th. Resumes and head shots are appreciated but not required. For more information or to review the script, contact director Dan Maloney at
