Over the decades, MPI has
managed to accumulate a great volume of awards and honors
due to its constant pursuit of theater excellence.
At the annual June Southwest Region OCTAfest, sponsored by ACT Cincinnati, Mariemont Players' Past President
Arny Stoller was awarded the prestigious Art Rouse Award for 2010. Art Rouse is
remembered for promoting theatre in general and specifically striving to improve the quality of community theatre
in the Greater Cincinnati area, as well as the state level. In his memory and to the ideal of service to community
theatre, one individual is honored each year who best exemplifies this exceptional commitment and dedication.
Arny Stoller has been a vital member of the Cincinnati community theater scene for over 24 years, serving on theater
boards (president of two), on stage in more than 50 productions, as well as contributing his considerable talents
backstage for literally hundreds of productions with sound, lighting, props, set building, running crew and set strikes.
He has also participated actively in ACT, serving in various positions for more than 11 years. In addition to his many
contributions to Mariemont Players, Arny has been part of productions at eight other local community theater groups. A
well deserved recognition for Arny Stoller.
